First Week

My first week was an interesting one, my boss is a really nice guy. I've been reading about DOORS, MKS Integrity Manager and MKS Source Integrity Entreprise.

DOORS is a product from Telelogic, it is a requirements management software.
It has a functionality that I've never even thought of, but that seems very useful: it takes note of the relationship between the individual requirements.

MKS Integrity Manager (IM) is a product from MKS, a small canadian company (the
Market Capitalization is $149.5 million). It helps keep everything in a database, so manager can know see the defects of a product or the summary of a meeting. IM is linked with Source Integrity Entreprise (SIE), which is basically a CVS with more functionality. SIE and IM are linked together, any changes made to a source code change can be linked to a particular meeting or a peer review. This really makes every decision accountable and makes auditting an easier task to manage.

My internship project would be to integrate DOORS with IM. I am excited about it, because this is a project that will actually be used by a couple hundred engineer at the company. Knowing that your work will be used is a great feeling!
